It is with great sadness that I have to anounce the passing of Ray Miles after a period of illness our thoughts are with his family at this most sad time.
A man of foresight, no game was too far or the opposition too great for Ray, as he carried the name of Tredegar Ironsides RFC across the Rugby communities of Wales long before the advent of the National Leagues. His ambition and hard work finally paying off in the form of Welsh Rugby Union status for the Club and laid the very firm foundations of fairness and community spirit that the Club enjoys to this day.
We have lost a very fine individual, but his memory,spirit and his legacy will never be forgotten by all at Tredegar Ironsides RFC, goodbye Ray and deepest thanks from the club you so loved.
The funeral will take place on :
Tuesday 12th July, 11 am @ Bethel Baptist Church,
Bethel Avenue, Tredegar ,
Blaenau Gwent,
NP22 3JL
